About Autism Hub

Trusted, Professional Autism Resources

Autismhub.ie is an online hub providing information about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental & genetic conditions. Unfortunately, there is much misinformation about ASD disseminated online and in the media, which we know can be very confusing and upsetting for both adults with autism and parents of children with the condition. Hence, one purpose of autismhub.ie is to provide accurate information about our current scientific understanding of ASD, while a second purpose of the site is to help individuals and families affected by autism source clinical services, a special school, care supports or other relevant services.

We can also list various other services and activities/events relevant to ASD, such as autism assistance dogs, employment supports, training courses, CPD events for professionals, and “autism-friendly” services such as equestrian activities and sporting or musical events. In addition, we list research studies on ASD or other neurodevelopmental conditions for the purpose of participant recruitment. Depending on the nature of a service, it may be necessary to consult with one of our clinical advisors before it can be listed on the site.

Autismhub.ie was created by Dr John Doody, Chartered Psychologist/Chartered Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland, in collaboration with other clinicians. Dr Doody specialises in ASD (and related neurodevelopmental disorders). Autismhub.ie is dedicated to providing the public with accurate information about ASD.

If you have an ASD-related service that you would like to be listed in our directory, please submit it to us via the relevant form on the “Sign Up/Login” tab. Note that all submissions are reviewed by the Autism Hub team before they can be listed. If you are hosting an event that you would like us to list in our events calendar, please email us details. To be listed, informational events (lectures, webinars, etc.) must align with the mainstream, evidence-based scientific understanding of ASD/neurodevelopmental conditions.
