Performance validity testing in psychological evaluations for children and adolescents is a critical component of accurate and reliable assessment. In this webinar, Dr. Reynolds will review the current need for performance validity testing across all types of psychological testing and evaluations with youth.

Research related to children’s abilities to deceive examiners will be reviewed along with studies of the frequency of feigned performance in the diagnosis of ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as youth seeking various forms of accommodations. Dr. Reynolds will also examine evidence supporting the need for objective measurement of effort and explain the concept of performance validity testing. The Pediatric Performance Validity Test Suite™ (PdPVTS™) will be introduced, demonstrating its effective use with children and youth to assess effort and performance validity per current professional standards.

At the end of this webinar, you will be able to…

  • Define performance validity testing.
